3. Wills, Trusts, and Life Insurance
Veterans of Valor makes it easy for you to donate through a will or a living trust. When planning your estate, name Veterans of Valor in your will for a specific amount or a percentage share in your estate. You can also name Veterans of Valor to be the beneficiary of your estate after the payment of bequests to others or donations that are made through a living trust. The process is simple. We strongly suggest consulting legal advice when drafting a will.

Another way to donate to Veterans of Valor is to name Veterans of Valor as a beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy. Many low-cost premium payments may be tax-deductible. Veterans of Valor must be named as the owner and beneficiary of the insurance policy for it to be taken as a tax-deductible gift. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@veteransofvalor.org.

4. Real Estate Gifts
Veterans of Valor accepts gifts of real estate, subject to the approval of our Board of Directors.

Many of our donors are making useful gifts of real estate and receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of their property. This is an advantage because you bypass the capital gains taxes that would be due upon the sale of the property, and you remove the property from your taxable estate. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@veteransofvalor.org.

5. Matching Gifts
Often companies encourage their employees to make charitable contributions by matching their philanthropic support. To find out if your company participates in matching gifts, consult your human resource office, which will provide you with a matching gift form. For further details, contact us at info@veteransofvalor.org.
